Odds and previews of the FA Cup double-header

The fourth round of the FA Cup continues with a double-header in the capital with games at Selhurst Park and Stamford Bridge.

There’s an all-Premier League clash as Crystal Palace host Tottenham, followed by Chelsea taking on Championship side Sheffield Wednesday. We check out whether the Eagles and the Owls can cause a cupset…

Crystal Palace v Tottenham Hotspur

Spurs will feel disappointed after losing out to Chelsea on Thursday night, but their immediate concern is their injury-hit squad.

Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies joined the ever-growing queue for the Spurs treatment table, being subbed off against Chelsea. Spurs are now missing at least four key men through injury, including Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Crystal Palace continue to battle away in the Premier League to avoid relegation, and a cup run could help their confidence if they decide to go for it. They may see the FA Cup as an unnecessary distraction on the flip side.

Despite their injury crisis, Spurs are still slight favourites to advance at 8/5, but Palace aren’t far behind at 7/4 to win.

Neither side really want a replay, but without the firepower of Kane for Spurs and the inconsistency of the Palace attack, a draw could be on the cards. It’s 9/4 to go to a replay at Wembley.

Fernando Llorente bagged a goal against Chelsea, and he’s 9/2 favourite to open the scoring for Spurs.

Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Luka Milivojevic are all joint-favourites to score if Palace net first at 13/2.

Chelsea v Sheffield Wednesday

The Blues will be beaming with confidence after their penalty shoot-out win over Tottenham saw them through to the Carabao Cup final next month.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is taking cup competitions seriously, getting the perfect balance of youth and experience in his line-ups to get the victory.

The Owls needed a replay to get through their third-round tie with League One opposition in Luton Town, and are finding goals hard to come by lately too, failing to score more than once in a game since early December.

The West Londoners sit as firm favourites at 2/9 to win, with a Win to Nil also backed at 19/20.

Wednesday are 11/1 outsiders to cause an upset in the capital, with odds of 11/2 on them earning a draw to take it back to Hillsborough.

A Wednesday/Draw double chance is 16/5.

Sarri could give a first start to new signing Gonzalo Higuain. He’s 11/4 to open the scoring at the Bridge or 7/10 anytime.

Owls top scorer Lucas Joao has eight goals this term, and is favourite to notch if Wednesday grab a goal at 7/2 anytime.
