Manchester City completed an historic treble last season and attention has now switched to whether they can repeat such a successful campaign – or even improve on it!

Coral have plenty of trophy specials in their betting on Pep Guardiola’s men and Man City treble odds of 14/1 suggest a repeat of their three trophies from last season is not out of the question.

City completed the treble by beating Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul to finally win the one major prize that had eluded the club during a period of dominance under Guardiola.

They had already ended the Premier League season in stunning form to overhaul long-time leaders Arsenal, before beating Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

The only prize City missed out on was the EFL Cup after a surprise defeat at Nathan Jones’ Southampton, who went on to be relegated in the Premier League.

Coral have Man City quadruple odds too, with 66/1 available for City to win all three domestic trophies available to them as well as the Champions League.

City’s planning for the 2023-24 season continued on Tuesday with the signing of Croatia midfielder Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea.

The 29-year-old has signed a four-year contract at the Etihad Stadium after the clubs agreed an initial fee of £25million, with a potential extra £5million in add-ons.

Kovacic joins City after five years at Chelsea, where he won the Champions League and Europa League and made 221 appearances.

He is City’s first signing of the summer and his arrival compensates for the departure of captain Ilkay Gundogan, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer on Monday after seven years at the club.

City are also reported to be battling with Arsenal to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, although the Gunners are the favourites to get their man in Coral’s transfer betting.

Even if Rice heads to Arsenal, City will start the season as clear favourites in the outright Premier League odds for a fourth successive title – a feat which has never been done before – while they are 3/1 to retain the FA Cup.

A demanding fixture list may force Guardiola to rest his star men in the cup though and City’s Wembley triumph last season was only their second appearance in the FA Cup final in the last decade.

In the Premier League, Liverpool will expect to put up more of a fight than they did last season and their absence from the Champions League could help them focus on their domestic fixtures.

Chelsea are out of Europe completely but Mauricio Pochettino looks a smart choice to oversee their rebuild, while a deeper squad may ensure Arsenal do not run out of steam this time around.

Winning the Champions League is no easy task, even with a squad this talented, but City lead the outright Champions League betting at 2/1.

Bayern Munich are seen as their biggest rivals but were brushed aside by City in last season’s quarter-finals before a stunning semi-final victory over Real Madrid, who are third favourites in the Champions League winner odds.

Madrid have since signed Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund and will hope his arrival helps them prove more of a match for City if they meet again, although the Spanish giants must also find a replacement for the departed Karim Benzema.

One more hope for City’s rivals is the charges they are facing for alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial fair play rules but it remains to be seen what punishment, if any, that could lead to.

For now, the Man City treble odds suggest a repeat of last season’s success cannot be ruled out ahead of another gruelling campaign.
