NBA playoffs: Hawks set as slim game 6 favourites over Nets

Atlanta Hawks will be looking to end a four-game SU losing streak on the road and finish off Brooklyn in their first-round series, when they take on the Nets in Game 6 on Friday as solid four-point favourites in NBA betting at Coral.

The Hawks took a 3-2 lead in the series with a decisive 107-97 win in Game 5 on Wednesday night, after dropping Games 3 and 4 in Brooklyn in disappointing style when pegged as strong road favourites.

Atlanta’s win in Game 5 marked their first ATS victory so far in the Playoffs, and ended a dismal 0-6-1 ATS run that had become a legitimate cause for concerns for loyal sports betting fans. They are now 10/1 chances for the NBA Championship.

The Nets return home with confidence after claiming SU wins in nine of their last 11 contests at Barclays Center, while going 8-2-1 ATS during that stretch in basketball betting at Coral’s sportsbooks.

However, No. 8 Brooklyn will need the kind of stand-out offensive performances they received from center Brook Lopez and point guard Deron Williams if they hope to even the series with a Hawks squad that has beaten them SU in eight of their last 10 meetings, 5-5 ATS.

San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers (-2.5)
After standing tall and claiming a 102-96 win in San Antonio on Thursday to even their first-round playoff series at three games apiece, LA Clippers return home on Saturday night as slim 2.5-point favourites over the Spurs in their all-important Game 7 match-up.

The Clippers had been given little chance of recovering from their 111-107 home loss to the Spurs in Game 5.

San Antonio had not lost back-to-back home playoff games in five years, and entered Thursday night’s cotnest leading in all the trends on home court, including an impressive 25-5 SU record in their last 30 home contests, during which they had not lost two straight at home since before Christmas.

Everything changes as the scene shifts to Staples Center for the first Game 7 of the NBA post-season.

The Spurs are just 4-5 SU in their last nine road contests against LA, who recorded SU wins in eight of their final regular season contests on home court, prior to their two home losses to San Antonio during this series.

But the Clippers have been an inconsistent bet of late, going 1-7 ATS in their last eight on home hardwood. However, Los Angeles have consistently put points on the board at home, recording over 100 in eight of their last nine, and will need to do more of the same against a Spurs squad featuring veteran power forward Tim Duncan, who has recorded double-doubles in five of the six games to date in the series.

The OVER/UNDER is an even 3-3 so far in the series, with the OVER going 2-0 in the Games 2 and 5 in Los Angeles.

Points totals in Game 7 are listed at 204.0 in NBA betting at Coral, marking the seventh time in this series, and the 15th time in the Clippers last 16 games, that the point total has been pegged above 200.
