Jim Crowley: I have a great chance of more success here

Jockey and Coral ambassador Jim Crowley discusses the chances of his four rides at Glorious Goodwood on Thursday.

2.25 Goodwood – Jasour

I am very excited to ride this horse again. He won nicely at this level at Newmarket last time out. Obviously, he is going to be encountering much different ground this time, and I don’t know how he will handle it as I’ve only ridden him once before on fast ground.

I won this race 12 months ago with Royal Scotsman and I have a great chance of more success here as he is a lovely horse with a bright future.

3.35 Goodwood – Al Husn

She won the Hoppings Stakes last time out at Newcastle beating Nashwa. I think she is a filly that is rapidly improving. She should handle a bit of cut in the ground. The race is likely to set up nicely for her. She has work to do on the form figures, but she is a very good filly.

Blue Rose Cen has had an impressive season in France, particularly on her last run in the Prix de Diane (French Oaks). She will be receiving 8lb from us in the weights, and she looks like the one we all have to beat.

4.45 Goodwood – Spioradalta

This will be my first time riding this gelding but looking at his form, he has been running well recently, with two wins from his last four outings, including a success at Chester over their extended 7f trip last month.

The handicapper has put him up 2lb for that latest win, but that keeps us off a workable mark. This is a competitive race, but I think we have each-way claims.

5.20 Goodwood – Unreal Connection

This filly will need to come on from her debut run at Salisbury where she finished sixth of nine runners. Get Jiggy With It and Ornellaia both showed a lot of promise on their opening appearances, so they are the two we will all be looking to finish ahead of.
