York 3.45 – War Rooms
This is a horse I really like, and going into his last run, at Sandown, I had very high hopes, but for whatever reason, he just did not fire that day. That was not his true form at all, based on his previous runs as a 2-y-o and his homework, he’s miles better than that. He has a Derby entry and I really feel he’s that good, so I’m pleased he’s running again here, as hopefully he can get back on track.
Ancient Wisdom sets a high standard, this is the Dante after all, generally the best Derby trial, and obviously War Rooms has to bounce back from that Sandown disappointment, but he’s worked well since, and I am happy to put a line through it. I certainly haven’t lost faith in the horse, and hopefully he can show his true form here.
