Dean Saunders’ Italy v Wales preview: A draw will suit both teams in Rome

Our Matchday Squad journalist will be covering Wales throughout Euro 2020

Wales are coming off the back of a tremendous performance against Turkey.

Italy have had two excellent 3-0 victories and only need a point to win the group, while Wales need a point to secure the second spot.

Robert Page should make a few changes and leave his key players out. He will set his team up defensively to try and pick up a 0-0 or 1-1 scoreline. Italy will see out the game goes but will also rest a few.

I think the game will finish as a draw. That would suit both teams and secure Wales’ spot in the last 16, which would be a great achievement.
