Preview and odds for FA Cup replay clash

After Newport County’s shock 2-0 win over Middlesbrough yesterday, the FA Cup fourth round replays continue tonight, with West Bromwich Albion at home to Brighton.

The winner at the Hawthorns will be rewarded with a home tie versus Derby County in the fifth round. But who will it be?

We’ve got all the key info and odds for this one, which comes live on BBC One, kicking off at 8.05pm…

Head-to-head

This pair have only met three times since 1993, and results have been evenly split.

Two Premier League matches in 2017-18 went the way of the home side on each occasion, before last month’s 0-0 draw in the original fourth round match-up.

Both sides have more pressing concerns in the league, though neither can claim much in the way of form.

Hosts West Brom are seeking promotion in the Championship, but have failed to win four of their last five games, while Brighton have slipped into a relegation scrap after picking up just two points from their last quintet of fixtures.

Likely XIs

With their aforementioned league concerns, both Baggies’ boss Darren Moore and Seagulls coach Chris Hughton made numerous changes for January’s 0-0 at the Amex.

We should expect more of the same tonight.  Hal Robson-Kanu and Jonathan Leko could again start up top for the hosts, instead of league regulars Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez.

Chris Murphy, Stefan Johansen and Jefferson Montero are all ineligible to play for the Baggies tonight.

David Button was handed a rare start by Hughton in the original tie, and is likely to start in between the sticks again this evening.

Forwards Florian Andone and Jurgen Locadia, plus midfielders Anthony Knockaert and Yves Bissouma are poised for a role in the starting XI too.

Key battles

Their wasn’t much to shout about in the first encounter. West Brom comfortably held their own away at Premier League opposition, and will be more confident about knocking them out tonight.

Moore’s men have been scoring goals for fun this season too, so Brighton will need to keep tabs on Robson-Kanu and the experienced Wes Hoolahan.

As for Brighton, creating chances has been a problem for them this term. Knockaert has the ability to unlock defences, and the Frenchman is one the West Brom midfield will be keen to shut down.

Match odds

Premier League Brighton are favourites to win this in 90 minutes at 29/20, with West Brom slight outsiders at 2/1.

There’s 11/5 about a draw, while 3/4 says Brighton progress via any means. Moore’s hosts are 21/20 to go through tonight.

Looking at the goalscorer markets, Glenn Murray is 7/2 favourite, but the 35-year-old is unlikely to feature. With that in mind, there’s 4/1 about Andone to bag the opener.

For West Brom, Rodriguez and Gayle head the first goalscorer betting at 9/2, but like Murray, are set to be rested. Robson-Kanu effectively leads the way to break the deadlock at 13/2, ahead of Leko at 7s.
