Key Odds and preview of FA Cup cracker

The FA Cup promises a barnstorming start to fourth round weekend, as the competition’s two most successful clubs face off at the Emirates Stadium.

13-time winners Arsenal have been up-and-down lately, but grabbed an impressive 2-0 win against Chelsea last time out.

As for visitors (and 12-time champions) Manchester United, they’re looking for an eighth successive win under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ahead of this cup cracker in North London – live on BBC One from 7:55pm – we’ve got all the odds and info…

Head-to-Head

Go back a decade, and United were about to kick off a stunning period of dominance in this fixture. From 2009 to 2014, they won 11 of the pair’s 15 clashes (including an 8-2 mauling), and lost just once.

Recently, it’s been more even. The last nine head-to-heads have seen three victories apiece.

December 2018 saw the most recent clash, with a 2-2 league draw at Old Trafford – Jesse Lingard rescuing a point for the hosts, who trailed twice.

Likely XIs

Injuries hamper Unai Emery’s selections. In defence, Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding are both sidelined. Meanwhile, former United man Henrikh Mkhitaryan is returning to fitness, but unlikely to be match ready.

They’re likely to go 4-3-1-2, with Laurent Koscielny and Sokratis Papastathopoulos at centre-back. Further forward, Mesut Ozil is likely to sit in behind a strike pairing of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

For the Red Devils, regular cup keeper Sergio Romero could regain his place. Whoever’s between the posts, they’re likely to be guarded by a centre-half pairing of Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof.

Meanwhile, Juan Mata could return in midfield. He loves a goal against the Gunners, scoring five times in 10 against them.

Key Battles

With injuries at the back, the Gunners will be fielding something of a makeshift-defence. With Koscielny likely to feature, the 33-year-old could have a very long evening up against the pace and trickery of Rashford and Martial.

With the Gunners likely to play that central midfield trio and United employing a narrow diamond under Solskjaer, the balance of play will be determined by who edges that tussle in the centre of the park.

United have the power with Paul Pogba, but the Gunners have the tenacious Lucas Torreira to match.

Match Odds

Ahead of kick off, Arsenal are narrow favourites at 7/5 to progress tonight. Meanwhile, Man United are 13/8 and it’s 13/5 this tie goes to a replay.

The Red Devils have been free-scoring of late, while the Gunners have also registered in seven of their last eight home games. We go 4/9 for Both Teams to Score, while another United victory with BTTS IS 16/5.

Rashford is on fire right now, netting in seven of the visitors’ last 10 games. He’s 13/8 Anytime, while 11/2 says he’s Last Goalscorer for the sixth time this term.

The Gunners’ man most likely is Aubameyang at 5/4 Anytime.
