Shrews could cause huge upset

Sunday sees a quartet of intriguing FA Cup fixtures with a possibility of some big upsets along the way.

There are always a handful of big wins in the early rounds of the cup and this weekend’s third round should be no different.

The Coral News Team examines the key storylines ahead of Sunday’s potential madness.

Leeds face tricky League Two opposition

Thomas Christiansen takes his Leeds team to Newport to take on the League Two side in the early kick-off.

The Championship side were in tremendous form up until a fortnight ago. Four wins in a row, however, have been followed up by a loss and a draw.

They face a Newport side who have won five, drawn five and lost just two at Rodney Parade.

Taking the Double Chance on the Welsh outfit at 10/11 could prove fruitful.

Shrews could nail Hammers

If there is to be a ‘cupset’ on Sunday, it’s more than likely going to be West Ham United suffering at the hands of Shrewsbury.

The League One side have been flying this season and currently lie in second-place. The Hammers earned a draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday evening and could be tired.

David Moyes will likely rotate in this and that could give a revved-up Shrews side a big chance.

The 29/10 on Paul Hurst’s side is worth taking.

Tottenham v AFC Wimbledon

A game for the romantics, Tottenham face Wimbledon at Wembley in what should be a fantastic occasion for the Dons.

Unfortunately, they face a Spurs side who will probably not be in a generous mood.

Mauricio Pochettino will rotate his starting XI after the West Ham game on Thursday night. But whoever comes in will be of a quality the Dons can’t match.

Tottenham and Over 3.5 Goals has to be the best bet at 5/4.

Arsenal should ease to win at inconsistent Forest

Nottingham Forest still don’t have a permanent manager in charge ahead of the visit of Arsenal.

Gary Brazil is in temporary charge after Mark Warburton’s sacking. However, Forest still haven’t won a game since 9 December against Bolton Wanderers.

Arsenal will rotate with Arsene Wenger giving the usual starts to Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott. But the Gunners should still be too good here.

Back the Gunners to win on the -1 Handicap market at 7/5.
