Follow our big price midweek multiple

Star of the show on Wednesday goes at the Etihad where Manchester City and Huddersfield clash in an FA Cup replay. The bulk of the day’s football goes north of the border however, with plenty for Coral punters to solve in the Scottish Premiership.

We have picked out a five-fold designed to boost your bank balance. Every £5 invested pays £280.90, if our thinking works out to be shrewd, with prices and returns correct at the time of writing. Read on as we take you through each of the five legs.

Man City beat Huddersfield

These sides played out an entertaining draw in the initial encounter, but there were chances for both to go and win it. City were almost caught off-guard by a talented Terriers, but that shouldn’t happen again, certainly not in front of their own fans. Pep’s men don’t have too many chances at silverware left, and after seeing rivals Man Utd win the EFL Cup, they must give this their full attention. 1/7 is tight, but fair.

St Johnstone beat Rangers

Managerless Rangers are in all kinds of trouble at the minute and have lost each of their last two starts, against Dundee and Inverness. The latter were bottom of the league at the time. There’s as much to worry about off the park as on it for Rangers and whoever comes in won’t hang on to too many of the current crop, as they’re hopeless. Tough – but true. Traders seem reluctant to admit it, and we will take the bigger price about a St Johnstone side in better form. 9/2 is insane value!

Dundee beat Partick

There’s not a lot between these sides, and both enter on the back of two wins in-a-row. The Dens Park club beat Rangers 2-1 and then hammered Motherwell 5-1, while Partick beat Hamilton and Hearts 2-0. Home advantage should prove to be the difference at 7/4, while scoring five last time won’t hurt.

Back Rangers to draw against Old Firm rivals Celtic.

Celtic beat Inverness

There’s not an awful lot for Celtic players to get excited about these days. They have won the league at a canter, find competition difficult to come by of late, and already have the League Cup in the bag. They will fancy a crack at Inverness however, as the Highlanders remain the only side to take points off Celtic this season, with their CV showing 25 wins and a draw from 26. Brendan Rodgers and co will target revenge at 1/4.

Luton beat Oxford

Luton and Oxford United meet in the fourth round of the Checkatrade Trophy, and we are going to take a chance on the League Two outfit. Luton beat Oxford 3-2 when the sides last met, and haven’t lost to The U’s since 2009. Nathan Jones’ side go in unbeaten in their last five league starts, and we’ll take them at 13/8.
