Sergio Aguero and Man City feature in five fantastic FA Cup tips
Holly Thackeray | January 28, 2016
It has been an enthralling week of domestic cup action, and the drama is set to continue as now the FA Cup returns to screens across the country from Friday to Sunday. What about those thrilling fourth round ties not televised, however? Coral bring you five tasty tips from the best of the rest.
Arsenal v Burnley – Ramsey 15/8 to score anytime
The Gunners’ all-round midfield man Aaron Ramsey has re-emerged of late to nail down a starting spot next to magician Mesut Ozil and is a crucial cog as the capital club push for silverware.
Defending this title, and aiming for a third successive FA Cup trophy triumph on the trot, Arsenal are unlikely to come undone against Championship club Burnley, who have one eye trained on league promotion.
As for Ramsey, he has returned to rampant ways so looks fantastic value at 15/8 to find the net anytime, as the Welsh whizz has been on target in his only other FA Cup outing this campaign and has also struck two in his last four.
Aston Villa v Manchester City – Aguero 2/1 to score two or more
There is another excellent scorer market to get your hands on as City head to Villa Park. Remi Garde’s guys are still rock bottom of the Premier League, having notched the least, while the Sky Blues are highest scorers.
Having already overcome Everton to reach the Capital One Cup final, courtesy of a winner from sharpshooter Sergio Aguero, the Citizens are now seeking to scalp porous Aston Villa.
As awesome Aguero has hit four in as many careers appearances against the Villans, plus two brilliant braces in his last three games, the Argentine is incredibly enticing at 2/1 to dispatch a double or more again.
Bolton Wanderers v Leeds United – Leeds 19/4 to win and both teams to score
These Championship teams are wildly inconsistent, both boasting negative goal differences in the league table, while the Trotters remain rooted to the bottom of their division.
With this in mind, Elland Road outfit Leeds can afford to spare more focus on the FA Cup, though have still been leaky with just one clean sheet from their last four. So, the Yorkshire club therefore seem best value to back at 19/4 to win with both teams scoring.
Crystal Palace v Stoke City – The Potters at 11/4 to win
Having come within a spot-kick of knocking Liverpool out of the Capital One Cup, and seconds away from reaching the Wembley final, Stoke are more than generous at 11/4 to see off out-of-form Palace.
The Eagles have clocked-up only two goals in their last seven across all competitions, so pose little threat at the moment, while the Potters will be keen to prove they are a cup force to be reckoned with.
Nottingham Forest v Watford – Igahlo 4/1 to fire in first
The Hornets have impressed this season and will be confident of continuing their cup run against former Championship foes Forest.
Hitman Odion Ighalo has, of course, been central to their success with 15 goals so far this season. The Nigerian net threat is therefore tremendous value at 4/1 to draw first blood, having scored twice in as many career matches against Nottingham, with both crucially openers.
