FA Cup third round tips

With the FA Cup reaching its intriguing third round stage, Coral bring you 10 top tips for an action-packed list of fixtures from England’s most prestigious knockout competition.

Britain Soccer Premier League

Ighalo to inspire Watford in Newcastle meeting again

These two Premier League sides have already met domestically this season, with the in-form Watford marksman having bagged a brace to earn a 2-1 win at St James’ Park. The Hornets hitman is on an amazing goal-scoring run, so back him at evens to net again anytime in this cup clash.

Arsenal to fire four past helpless Sunderland

Arsene Wenger’s Gunners have dispatched three or more goals against Sunderland in three of their previous five meetings and, with the Black Cats struggling massively of late, they could suffer the same fate again.

Arsenal are 14/5 to take it up a notch and fire four past Sam Allardyce’s clawless Wearside outfit, having climbed to the top-flight’s summit lately with their attacking prowess.

West Ham United v Liverpool - Barclays Premier League - Upton Park

Dominant home Hammers to sink Wolves to nil

Slaven Bilic’s West Ham United have not lost at Upton Park since August and, after impressive back-to-back wins over Southampton and Liverpool, they could find it comfortable in overcoming Wolves.

The Hammers are 19/10 to win to nil and continue their dominant home form, following a 2-0 victory over Jurgen Klopp’s Reds last time out.

Rotherham ready for another travelling Leeds triumph

Rotherham managed to topple Leeds United with a narrow 1-0 victory in their Championship clash last November, and can draw on that experience to earn further success in this cup meeting.

The visitors are a tasty 3/1 for another win on their travels to Elland Road, though will have to rely on cup magic too following two successive defeats.

Clinical Cabaye can help sink Saints once again

Crystal Palace’s Yohan Cabaye is turning out to be one of the signings of the season at Selhurst Park and he is 11/4 to net anytime against Southampton, after scoring the winner in their last encounter.

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Watford v Crystal Palace - Vicarage Road

Norwich to capitalise on City cup fatigue

It took an 89th-minute penalty from Yaya Toure for Manchester City to edge by Norwich City in their Premier League liaison last October and they come into this latest outing on the back of a League Cup defeat.

Everton performed gallantly in order to earn a 2-1 Capital One Cup first leg win over the Sky Blues and Alex Neil’s Canaries can capitalise on recent falterings, as well as possible fatigue, with Norwich 7/2 for an upset.

Lukaku to dispatch double or more in Dagenham duel

Romelu Lukaku struck the winner in that aforementioned victory over Man City, bringing his season tally to an impressive 19 in all competitions. The Belgian will see Dagenham and Redbridge’s arrival on Merseyside as a good time to increase that further and 7/4 to bag a brace or more.

Norwich City v Everton - Barclays Premier League - Carrow Road

Hosts Doncaster to scupper Stoke’s cup ambitions

The last time Doncaster welcomed Stoke City, they rallied to a 3-1 success, albeit back in 1960, but Darren Ferguson’s men can cause an upset at Keepmoat Stadium after two consecutive victories. They are 3/1 to stun Mark Hughes’ Potters with the backing of their home support.

Eastleigh to upset odds and banish Bolton

In what could be one of the biggest upsets of the third round, Conference club Eastleigh are 2/1 to earn a victory over struggling Championship side Bolton, with the visitors potentially in for a tough afternoon.

Neil Lennon’s Wanderers have been on a futile run of form this season and an FA Cup defeat at the hands of Eastleigh is definitely worth a punt.

Forest to edge out QPR once more

Nottingham Forest toppled their Championship rivals QPR 2-1 in a close encounter last September and they are 19/5 to earn another victory with both teams scoring this time around at the City Ground.
