40/1 Premier League Darts acca

We’re expecting upsets in Aberdeen

Week 15 of the Premier League Darts season and battle lines have been drawn at the GE Oil and Gas Arena in Aberdeen. Punters have some fantastic match-ups instore, including local hero Gary Anderson vs Michael van Gerwen in a top-of-the-bill bust-up.

Anderson will never have a better time to beat league leader MVG, but will he delight the fiercely patriotic home crowd? Follow all the action live from the oche at 7.00pm courtesy of Sky Sports, and you can bet on every leg at Coral, the home of value.

Wade beat Chisnall

Right out the traps and we are starting with an upset to set the pace for the evening. Wade has been terrible in the second-half of this season, and had it not been for a decent start, we would probably have been in the mix to be relegated earlier. I make this a 50/50 with Chisnall however and, when Wade is on the stage, anything can happen. With that in mind we take a shot at the price, with Coral giving a handy 9/4. The Machine to upset the applecart and go out with a win really wouldn’t shock anyone.

Taylor beat Lewis

Phil Taylor is all but through to the next round, barring some kind of miracle from Chizzy, so he should know what he has to do here. Safe and The Power could take his foot off the pedal, but it’s unlikely, he is a man playing for the love of the game, and I’d be surprised to see Phil give anything away. Jackpot was beaten 7-2 by Peter Wright last week in Sheffield, capping what has been a truly horrible season. Lewis is second bottom of the remaining pile, and it could get worse. 5/6 on Phil is massive, given the form of both men.

Wright beat Barneveld

Barney is another who has disappointed of late, and got lazy against Chisnall last time, dropping to a 7-5 defeat despite having his man over a barrel. As punters we can’t have our stake money on a man in such a sloppy frame of mind. Moving to Wright, who arrives on the back of a stunning win over MVG in the European Darts Grand Prix recently. On form alone Snakebite is the best player in the world at the minute, and has every chance of finishing top. His opponent had the chance to qualify and threw it away. Take confidence over experience at 8/11.

Anderson beat van Gerwen

Gamble of the night in match of the night and we are giving Anderson the benefit of the doubt against MVG. Mighty’s form is all over the place at the minute and he was whitewashed by Wright on Sunday, and that came on the back of a 7-3 spanking by Taylor last week. MVG told the press pre-tournament he wanted to finish top, but he could end second, and will if our thinking is correct. Let’s take a chance on a big night, in front of a Scottish crowd, with the jolly looking shell-shocked. Would victory for the Flying Scotsman surprise you? Not us, and we’ll go in on a tartan-clad 3/1.
