Five-fold from Tuesday’s 19:45 kick-offs

With big international games coming up later this week, the Checkatrade Trophy takes centre-stage in today’s Coral Acca.

The competition returns on Tuesday evening with the second round of group stage games.

There’s plenty of action to look forward to and the Coral News Team have picked a five-fold from the 19:45 kick-offs.

Stake £5 on this five-fold accumulator and you could win £153.65 if it comes in. Prices and returns correct at the time of writing.

It’s off to Plymouth for the first pick…

Plymouth Argyle to beat Exeter City

Plymouth are rooted to the bottom of League One after four defeats in their last five league games.

But the cup competition will be a welcome change of scenery and they’ll raise their game for this Devon derby. Home advantage also means they’re 6/4 favourites.

Exeter are second in League Two, but having lost to Yeovil Town, defeat at Home Park would almost certainly knock them out of the competition.

Walsall to beat Coventry City

Next up is Walsall, where the Coral experts are tipping another League One home win over League Two opposition.

Coventry won the Checkatrade Trophy last season, but Sky Blues boss Mark Robins has admitted he prioritises the league over defending the title.

Walsall are 5/4 to win and as Robins will make several changes to his side, there’s unlikely to be an upset.

Blackburn Rovers to beat Bury

An all-League One clash sees Blackburn host Bury at Ewood Park. Rovers have already beaten the Shakers 3-0 in league action this season and they’re odds-on at 8/15 to win again.

Blackburn are currently sixth after winning three of their last five in the league. Bury are down in 20th and have only won once in all competitions since the opening day of the season.

It’s hard to see anything but a home win in this one.

Colchester United to beat Gillingham

After picking up their first away win of the season against Yeovil, Colchester will be in confident mood against Gillingham.

Despite playing one tier below the Gills, Colchester are 11/8 to win this one.

Gillingham have only won one of their 11 league fixtures so far this season. Their poor form led to Ady Pennock’s departure last week. Peter Taylor has been appointed caretaker manager for the time being.

Portsmouth to beat Crawley Town

This acca ends up at Fratton Park, where Portsmouth host Crawley.

After an encouraging start under Harry Kewell, Crawley have only won one of their last six outings.

Portsmouth beat the Reds home and away on their way to winning League Two last term. They’re 1/2 to triumph again on Tuesday night.
