Betting tips and preview from our trader, JamesPryce
Sporting action may sparse throughout the countrybut we’ve still got some exciting greyhound racing to enjoy today.
Monmore
The place to be at Monmore this year has been trap 3 with 168 wins so far and it could prove fruitful again in the 15:49 race. Fagans Wonder will wear the white jacket and despite being used to running at Pelaw Grange, he overcame some issues to win his first two starts and finish second in the next two since moving to Monmore. He could continue his impressive form at Monmore this afternoon with a level start.
Romford
2020 has been a year for the inside at Essex so far, with traps 1 and 2 producing the majority of the winners. The 17:19 race sees Lemon Tas start in trap 2 and despite struggling last time out, she’s in strong form having won her previous three races. There’s a strong chance she’ll recover from her wobble and continue her progression in the blue jacket this afternoon.
RPGTV cards
Nottingham
Following the postponement of the Greyhound Derby trial until later on this year, Nottingham hosts an all-graded card this evening. The 19:05 race is the pick of the bunch and Churchill Holly could stand a chance. She’s won her only three races so far and could continue the impressive start to her career with a lead up on the inside in trap 1. But she’ll face stiff competition from Swift Ferdia in trap 5, who’s been running in hot races on Mondays of late.
Yarmouth
Showtime Emoski heads out of trap 1 in the 19:42 and he’ll be looking to continue John Mullins’ impressive record this year. Mullins has won 31% of his outings at Yarmouth and Showtime Emoski could maintain his form after winning his debut race by 3 1/2L. He’ll be a popular pick as the only railer and Mullins has shown faith in him, having sent him out for a trial against Smallmead at Monmore.
