Bayern star primed for move away
For anyone growing up playing football in Germany then Bayern Munich is often the holy grail.
The Bavarian club are the peak of the domestic game for most players and Sebastian Rudy finally got his move at 26-years-old in 2017.
However, after just one season and three managers, it looks like the former Hoffenheim man is already surplus to requirements.

Surplus to requirements
Despite making 25 Bundesliga appearances last season as Bayern won the league.
New boss Niko Kovac has said he won’t stand in the way if the midfield man wants more game-time.
He may have only played one season in Bavaria but the signing of Leon Goretzka this summerfrom Schalke has seen him fall down the pecking order.
There’s talk that he may end up replacing Goretzka at the Gelsenkirchen club but Leipzig may just have a trump card up their sleeve.
Leader of the new generation
This move would buck the trend for Leipzig. Under Ralf Rangnick they’ve had a hard and fast rule of not signing players over 25.
The club have lost key men this summer including Naby Keita, his move to Liverpool leaves a big void in the midfield.
Rudy may miss out on some top honours by leaving Munich but will surely be a more central-figure in an exciting, vibrant team.
As Die Roten-Bullen aim to return to the Champions League they may feel the 28-year-old will be key to establishing themselves in Europe’s top tier.
Nagelsmann-connection
Julian Nagelsmann looked destined to become Bayern’s manager for much of last season.
But his announcement that he was to be the new manager of RB Leipzig from 2019-20 shook the world of football.
This could make the young up-starts a real threat to Bayern’s dominance.
However, Nagelsmann will want someone he trusts to glue it all together.
Rudy was a huge part of Nagelsmann’s Hoffenheim team who broke into the Bundesliga’s top four in 2016-17 and could be the experienced head needed when he arrives in East Germany next year.
