Latest transfer news from Premier League
We’re now less than six weeks away from the start of the English Premier League season, and that seems to have jolted some of the big guns into action.
We saw the early rounds of the Champions League and Europa League taking place in midweek, while off the field of play, managers begin to make moves on their main targets. Coral catch up on the transfer stories concerning Europe’s top clubs.

Mbappe in – Sanchez out
The feeling-out period appears to be over, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is about to get serious over his bid for Kylian Mbappe. The Monaco attacker is in high-demand, and could have his pick of the major clubs in Europe, but The Gunners are ready to slap in a staggering £125m bid to jump the queue. It has been reported that the 18-year-old Frenchman would prefer to work under Wenger, meaning it’s now up to Monaco to cash in, or hold their ground and see if Real Madrid can better that offer. The Londoners will lose Alexis Sanchez before the transfer window slams shut however, Bayern Munich the latest club to be linked.

Mourinho wants Morata and Lukaku
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be interested in bringing both Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid and Romelu Lukaku from Everton to Old Trafford. It’s no secret the boss wants a fresh look about his attack next season, as they aim to take both the Champions League and Premier League by storm, meaning they will need strength in depth. 24-year-old Morata is close to signing, if United and Madrid can agree on a fee, the Spaniards wanting £80m, and they won’t get Lukaku on the cheap either, especially with Chelsea making their interest clear.

Costa to Atletico won’t work
The Diego Costa saga may be about to end, with the breaking news that he is close to a return to La Liga. The 28-year-old was expected to leave Stamford Bridge in the winter, but was convinced to hang around and help push Chelsea towards the Premier League title. They achieved it, and the club now want rid, or manager Antonio Conte does anyway. A big money move to China is being mentioned less and less, with the latest newspaper reports telling us he’s returning to Atletico Madrid. The one stumbling block – Costa won’t be able to play until January. We don’t see it happening.
