Knockboy Wing worth a wager

T4 Knockboy Wing looked an unlucky loser when runner-up last time out and can go one better to land the A1 at 20:34 on tonight’s 12-race card at Romford screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).

Ernie Gaskin’s charge got badly checked at a crucial stage before rallying strongly to go down by just a short-head to T6 To Tone Frank.

The son of Scolari Me Daddy was gaining hand over fist at the finish and it was a terrific effort given how the race panned out.

With To Tone Frank now having a fast starter on his inside in the shape of the wide-running T5 Droopys Cairns, Knockboy Wing should get a nice clear passage to the first bend and if turning in front can quickly open up and establish a race winning lead.

Milly makes plenty of appeal

T5 Tullycanna Milly is in fine form at present and looks decent value to land the A3 (20:50).

Margaret Lucas’s bitch has won once and been runner-up on three occasions from her last five starts and clocked a recent best time of 24.54 in the process.

That sets the standard in this line-up and Milly comes into the contest on the back of an excellent second at the track six days ago when running on strongly to be beaten 1 1/2 lengths.

As well as having good early pace the selection stays well and if leading, or turning handy at the opening bend, is going to be very hard to contain.

Halls Charlie drawn for action

In the S3 (21:06), T1 Halls Charlie looks ideally drawn to provide trainer Lucas with a quick-fire double.

The son of Kinloch Brae has won two of his last four starts and ran a blinder last time out over course and distance when quickly away and battling on well to go down by just a neck to T4 Silver Causeway.

That re-opposing rival has a tougher draw on this occasion on the outside T3 Keeperhill Cara who has a good record in the grade and plenty of early pace.

There is a possibility of the pair coming together at the opening bend and, with T2 Open Tiara usually devoid of early pace, a smash break can see Halls Charlie boss the rails, get on the bunny and make all.

Swipe And Deploy the answer to Owners Bonus Series Final

T6 Swipe And Deply scored in terrific style last time out and rates a solid bet to follow-up in the A1 Owner Bonus Series Final (21;24).

Danny Mullins’ dog flashed from the traps, producing a 3.78 sectional to register a three-length success in a time of 24.34.

That was the quickest of the qualifiers and Swipe And Deploy is the sole wide seed in the line-up and once again looks ideally housed in the stripes to ping out and dish out a repeat performance.
