Roma risk handing Lazio advantage if they unravel at Inter Milan

Roma (11/5 to win with Coral) must get back on track after drawing eight of their last 13 outings across all competitions, and there would be no grander stage for the Giallorossi to return to form on than the San Siro.

The Eternal City outfit have not lost any of their last 11 tussles with Inter, but have ended on even terms four times during that run, so are an excellent 11/5 shout to split the spoils again.

Both the Giallorossi and Nerazzurri have been struggling to hold onto leads as of late and duels between these two are usually dramatic, so back both teams to score in both halves at 14/1.

Rudi Garcia’s Roma need a reaction in Milan, as cross-capital rivals Lazio having stolen second spot from them on goal difference, and Napoli are now breathing down their necks for the third Champions League place.

In a boost for the Romans, icon Daniele De Rossi could return, and is a fantastic 5/1 in the anytime market. Garcia’s guys have been struggling for goals recently, netting just four in their last six, but Inter often bring out the best in the capital club.

Having smashed four strikes past the Nerazzurri at the Stadio Olimpico earlier this season, and three against them in this same fixture last term, Roma are 7/1 to run rampant again by scoring three or more.

Adem Ljajic is currently the visitors’ top scorer in Serie A, so the Serbian forward threat is 9/4 to net again anytime, while formidable skipper Francesco Totti has hit 12 career goals against Inter and is 7/1 to strike first.

Hosts the Nerazurri, meanwhile, will be eager to make amends for their poor recent record against Roma, so are tempting 13/10 favourites for the win.

Inconsistent Inter have kept just 10 clean sheets across all competitions at the San Siro this season though, so will be relying on their superb striking force to fire them to victory.

Sought-after Argentine attacker Mauro Icardi is closing in on Carlos Tevez in the Serie A top scorer charts, and is worth backing at 5/1 to bag the opener, while the fearsome forward’s in-form compatriot Rodrigo Palacio is 7/4 in the anytime market.

Roberto Mancini’s men will have to make do without suspended midfield enforcer Gary Medel, but could welcome back ferocious Fredy Guarin, who is 7/1 to have the final say.
