Jonny Clayton secured his place in the Premier League play-offs with victory in the winner-takes-all showdown with Dimitri Van den Bergh on the final night of the regular season.
The Welshman edged past the Belgian to join Michael van Gerwen, Nathan Aspinall and Jose De Sousa in the final four.
Clayton’s reward is a best-of-19-legs semi-final with Van Gerwen while De Sousa takes on Aspinall again after beating him last night.

Michael van Gerwen vs Jonny Clayton
Van Gerwen produced a fine run of form to ensure he did not miss out on the play-offs for the second successive season, topping the table for the eighth time in nine campaigns.
The Dutchman looked to be returning to his best during a run of six wins in seven matches, beating Peter Wright, De Sousa and Gary Anderson in his last three.
The 32-year-old is 8/15 to reach an eighth final in this tournament but his recent record against Clayton suggests he will have a tough night in store.
Clayton has beaten Van Gerwen in three of his last four matches, including 7-3 in the Premier League on April 22.
He has had a debut campaign to remember, averaging 103.92 to beat Van den Bergh in his final-night shoot-out, and can be backed at 6/4 to reach another major final.
Jose De Sousa vs Nathan Aspinall
De Sousa has lit up the Premier League in his debut campaign, turning on the style in his 8-3 victory over Aspinall on Thursday night with an epic tops, top, tops finish.
After a four-match winless run to start the season, the Portuguese surged into the play-offs with just two defeats in 12 matches – both to Van Gerwen – and also broke the tournament’s 180 record with 81 for the campaign.
De Sousa has the form to reach the final and is 4/7 to claim a third win in five outings against Aspinall, whose form has dipped.
Last year’s runner-up has only won one of his last six matches and is 11/8 to gain revenge for Thursday night’s loss to De Sousa.
Outright odds
Van Gerwen is the 5/4 favourite to join Phil Taylor on six Premier League titles but has strong competition with his rivals more competitive than ever these days.
Masters champion Clayton, Grand Slam of Darts winner De Sousa and Aspinall, who won the 2019 UK Open, have all previously held their nerve in finals.
Clayton is 4/1 to back up a semi-final win over Van Gerwen while De Sousa, due to his current form, is the second favourite at 5/2.
Aspinall came up short in last year’s Premier League final, losing 11-8 to Glen Durrant, and is 9/2 to go all the way this time around.
