Premier League Darts Betting Tips: Will Durrant or Aspinall come out on top?

| 27.02.2020

Odds and preview for the Week 4 action

Premier League Darts returns for another week of top tungsten tonight, with Dublin the next stop on the tour.

League leader Glen Durrant faces Nathan Aspinall, with both players looking to build on impressive starts.

The home crowd will be cheering on new Challenger William O’Connor too, as he goes up against defending champion Michael van Gerwen on the oche.

The line-up also includes Gerwyn Price v Peter Wright, but before any arrows are thrown, we’ve got the key odds from the pick of tonight’s matches…

Glen Durrant v Nathan Aspinall

Both players might be making their debuts this year, but they’ve not been daunted by the step up. They’re posting big scores and finishing with real precision.

Our traders can’t see much between them, with Aspinall the narrow 5/4 favourite after stunning MVG last week. Durrant isn’t far behind at 8/5. With so little between them, the draw is going for 3/1.

However, Duzza hasn’t been clocking up many 180s. He’s only thrown five in the tournament to date. Aspinall is Evens to throw the most 180s.

William O’Connor v Michael van Gerwen

Van Gerwen

The defending champ has made a slow start to the season but he’s starting to get into the groove now – averaging 100+ in eight of his 10 matches in Wigan last weekend.

MVG is 1/4 favourite here, with O’Connor out at 13/2. The Dutchman will be out to make amends for his loss to Aspinall too. Our traders have him at 4/5 with a -3.5 Handicap

But the crowd will be firmly in the Challenger’s corner. And that means this might not be the cakewalk the odds suggest. Over 10.5 Legs is an 11/10 shot

Gerwyn Price v Peter Wright

Gerwyn Price and Durrant are the only two players who still have an unbeaten record in this season’s Premier League. But Price has posted three consecutive draws. He needs to start turning those into wins.

Another draw wouldn’t be a bad result against Wright in his current form though. After beating Rob Cross last week, Snakebite is 6/5 favourite for this one. There’s also 3/1 about a fourth consecutive draw for the Iceman.

Wright also leads the 180 table, with 13 in the tournament to date. No one else is in double figures. We go 10/11 scores the most 180s here.
