Odds and preview for tonight’s matches

The PDC Home Tour continues tonight, with Group 13 next up at the oche.

Steve Beaton, Callan Rydz, Matthew Edgar and Carl Wilkinson are all involved in tonight’s action. And before it gets started, our senior trader Michael McDonald has cast his eye over the pick of the matches…

Steve Beaton vs Callan Rydz (19:30)

The Bronzed Adonis Steve Beaton is the clear favourite for all three of his fixtures. The night’s opening match sees him go up against Callan Rydz.

Rydz finished top of the 2019 Challenge Tour Order of Merit and is an up-and-coming player within the PDC ranks. But Beaton’s experience makes him a worthy favourite at 1/2, with Rydz at 6/4.

However, the exciting young player could provide a real test for Beaton first up – Rydz to take the match 5-4 in the Correct Score market is 15/2.

Steve Beaton v Matthew Edgar (21:00)

Beaton and Edgar have met four times in previous ranking events, with Beaton winning three of those. Edgar is out at 7/4 this time around, with Beaton a 2/5 favourite.

Edgar has struggled to maintain his PDC tour card in previous years, qualifying on various occasions via Q-School. Beaton should have too much quality for his opponent tonight. The 1996 BDO World Championship winner is 4/5 to win -1.5 legs on the match handicap.

Matthew Edgar vs Callan Rydz (21:30)

A competitively-priced fixture sees Rydz as slight favourite at 4/6, with Edgar an 11/10 shot. This is both player’s last match of the night – a win for either could be enough to take top spot and progress further into the competition.

Rydz leads the key head-to-head markets and the 3/1 for the special King of the Oche market could be interesting.
