Darts Trader’s Tips: PDC Home Tour – Thursday 7th May
Odds and preview ahead of tonight’s matches
The PDC Home Tour has no intention of slowing down and tonight sees 2018 World Champion Rob Cross step up to the virtual oche.
He takes on Dimitri van den Bergh, William Borland and Karel Sedlacek in Group 21 and our trader Michael McDonald has previewed the key clashes.
Rob Cross v Dimitri van den Bergh (21:00)
Cross is a hot commodity after winning the World Matchplay and European Championships last season and he’s the 4/7 favourite to continue his dominance against Van den Bergh, who is a 13/10 outsider.
The pair have met six times in the past, with Cross winning five times, and the Brit is 6/5 to win on the handicap market giving his opponent a 1.5 leg head start.
William Borland v Karel Sedlacek (20:30)
Sedlacek comes in as a last-minute replacement for Derk Telnekes but we can’t split him in his clash with Borland, with both players priced at 5/6 to take the honours.
The pair will already have a match under their belts at this point so form will play into what is expected to be a tight contest, in which over 7.5 legs is going at 4/6.
Karel Sedlacek v Rob Cross (22:00)
Cross should have too much for his opponent in the final match of the evening and he’s priced at 1/3 in what could be his chance to take the nightly winners award and progress into the next round.
Cross is odds-on in the key match markets and we’ve also priced him at 2/1 to be King of the Oche, requiring him to win the match, hit the most 180s and score the highest checkout.
