World number one Michael van Gerwen has been placed as the 12/5 favourite to win the PDC World Championship.
The action gets started this week, with the favourite facing the winner of Ryan Murray v Lourence Ilagan in the second round.
Gerwyn Price, current world number three, is the 5/1 second favourite to secure the trophy, with defending champion Peter Wright the 6/1 third favourite.
Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Van Gerwen remains the man to beat, despite his final defeat last year. We make him the clear favourite for this year’s World Championships as he goes hunting for his fourth title.”
“Gerwyn Price has delivered some fantastic displays this year so far and is the second favourite, whilst last year’s champ Wright is back again and is a 6/1 shot to retain his trophy,” added Aitkenhead.
