The new world number one heads the betting

Justin Thomas is the joint-favourite to win the US PGA Championship, which gets underway on Thursday.

The American replaced Jon Rahm as world number one after winning the St Jude Invitational over the weekend.

And Thomas can be backed to continue his winning run at 9/1 with Coral alongside joint-favourite Brooks Koepka.

Coral is offering 10 places each-way and Rory McIlroy is currently priced at 12/1, while Tiger Woods is going at 25s.

“Justin Thomas has been popular to follow up from his St Jude Invitation success with victory at Hardin Park, and the newly crowned world number one is the man we fear this week,” said Coral’s John Hill.

“Rickie Fowler has a long list of top ten finishes in Majors and has been supported with each-way customers, while Matthew Fitzpatrick has not been short of support after a good week in Memphis.”
