Joe Tizzard: He’s come out of his Cheltenham win in great style

Trainer and Coral ambassador Joe Tizzard discusses the chances of his three runners at Lingfield and Ascot on Saturday.

Lingfield 2.17 – Seaborn

Our first runner of the weekend is a rare flat runner for the yard. Seaborn had a long time off the track, and so we ran him on the flat at Kempton last month, and again here, just so we can get his fitness back up before we go hurdling with him, which we’ll do next time.

Ascot 2.40 – So Said I

So Said I is a lovely mare who I can’t wait to go chasing with, but she just had a small pelvic injury last season, and so starting her back over hurdles makes sense. All her six rivals here have had a run this season so will have a fitness edge, but I do think she’s an above average mare who we’ll see the best of over the larger obstacles, and this run will get her going nicely again.

Ascot 3.15 – Triple Trade

Triple Trade came out of last Friday’s win at Cheltenham in great style, he’s been absolutely bouncing at home this week, so having discussed it with the owners, we’ve decided to have a go at what is a really decent pot on ground that will suit.

It is always a risk running one again so soon after a race, but as I say he’s giving us all the right signs at home, and we know he’s in great form on the track, so we’re looking forward to this.
