Cody can power to glory in stayers contest at Harlow
T1 Glynnscross Cody looks terrific value to land the 592m stayers Open at 21:48 on tonight’s card at Harlow screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).
Roy Griffin’s bitch is two from four in the grade at the venue and has a near 30 per cent strike rate when sporting the red jacket.
The daughter of Crash is closely matched with T3 Burgess Dame, who came out on top last time they met, but looks to have thee better draw of the pair on this occasion.
With a slow starter immediately on her outside, Glynnscross Cody has every chance of holding her pitch at the first bend.
If turning handy she can then bring her stamina and strong finish into play to open up in the latter stages of the race and land the spoils.
Jet drawn for take-off
In the maiden stayers Open (20:42), T6 Knockraha Jet looks to have a dream draw from which to attack.
The George Andreas trained son of Smooth Daddy only has one win to his name but has been highly tried against the likes of Barricane Tiger and Lenson Santi.
There is nothing of their calibre in this line-up and as the sole wide seed Knockraha jet should get acres of space to operate on the run to the first bend.
She has enough early pace to be quickly in a good early and can then outstay main market rival T3 Philidolly to gain a deserved second career success.
Stonepark Mo poised for more success
T1 Stonepark Mo has a tremendous strike rate at the track and can further enhance it with victory in the sprint Open (21.15).
Keith Crew’s bitch has won 11 of her 19 starts in open company at the venue and is 3-3 when wearing the red jacket.
The daughter of Ace High Rumble is a real potent force when timing it right at the traps as she showed last week when pinging out to make all and slam Talltrees Lady by 6 1/2 lengths.
She is once again drawn on the inside of that rival and there is no reason to believe why the runner-up should turn the tables.
If trapping in similar fashion this looks Stonepark Mo’s for the taking.
