Mac Foiche and Shaneboy Freddie among TV wagers for Wimbledon

Mac Foiche can master Sprint rivals
There is a decent 10-race mixed card from Wimbledon on Racing Post Gretyhound TV tonight (Sky 468, Freesat 250) and T5 Mac Foiche rates the standout bet in the Sprint Open at 19:54.
Richard Devenish’s dog has won four of his five starts over course and distance, including the final of the British Bred Sprint.
He clocked a flying 15.89 in the semi-final of that competition and that is miles better than what any of his rivals have achieved.
The son of Ballymac Vic is a formidable sort when timing it right at the lids and also packs a powerful finish.
Mac Foiche will also find this easier than when third in the John Smiths Sprint Grand Final when last seen in action at Yarmouth and should now be spot on to do himself justice following two starts back from a break.
King Kid to rule again
T5 King Kid has taken to the track like a duck to water and looks to hold outstanding claims in the Puppy Open (20:58).
Liz McNair’s charge has won two of his three starts at the venue, with his sole defeat coming at the hands of the classy Kildallon Bolt.
The son of Droopys Scolari was particularly impressive over course and distance seven days ago when quickly away and making all to beat kennelmate King Eden by 3 3/4 lengths and is clearly right at the top of his game at present.
Granted a similar smash break he can lead up main market rival T4 Droopys Dresden to land another trap-to-line success.
Piper can call the tune in Stayers
T2 Spa Road Piper has some top class form to his name and looks drawn to deliver in the Stayers Open (21:48).
Kevin Boon’s dog beat Leger winner Fizzypop Buddy over course and distance earlier in the year when making all to score by 2 1/2 lengths.
He looked as good as ever when winning his heat in the Yorkshire St Leger at Doncaster two starts back and lost all chance in the semis off that competition when very slowly away and finishing sixth.
This represents a drop in class and with slow starters drawn either side Spa Road Piper should be able to boss the inside, turn the first bend in front and quickly establish a race winning lead.
Shaneboy Freddie to turn on the style in finale
In the 480m Open that brings proceedings to a close (22:03), T2 Shaneboy Freddie can cash-in on a drop in class to get back to winning ways and provide Boon with a double.
The son of Oaks Road is a real credit to connections and has won three of his eight starts at the venue.
He has a best time of 28.47 over course and distance and posted some tremendous performances to make the semi-finals of this year’s Greyhound Derby.
That sets a clear standard in this line-up and this is by far the easiest assignment Freddie has faced for a long time.
