Zoos Pacquiao a knockout bet at Romford

T2 Zoos Pacquiao looks cracking value to land the first heat of the A1 Owners Bonus Series at 20:18 on tonight’s 12-race graded card at Romford screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).

Ernie Gaskin’s charge has won seven of his 23 starts at the venue and has a 25 per cent strike rate when sporting the blue jacket.

The son of Droopys Maldini also comes into the race at the top of his game having won his last three starts.

On each occasions Zoos Pacquiao has shown bags of early pace to lead at the first bend and make all.

With T1 Swift Mask very hit and miss when the lids go up the selection looks ideally housed to ping out, boss the rails, and quickly establish a race winning lead.

Tahoe ticks plenty of boxes

In heat two of the Owners Bonus Series (20:34), T4 Zoos Tahoe looks drawn to deliver.

Paul Young’s bitch is a smart sort when timing it right at the lids and she showed three starts when making all to beat Posh Frock by three lengths.

She has nothing to fear from that re-opposing rival based on that running and has a best recent sectional of 3.78 to her name.

That reads well in the context of the make-up of the race as Zoos Tahoe is the sole middle seed and has two very closely matched dogs on his outside who could potentially clash at the first bend.

With T3 Posh Frock tending to cut-in, Zoos Tahoe should get plenty of room to operate and a smash break can see her turn in front and make all.

To Tone Tas looks tasty

T3 To Tone Tas has been running consistently well of late and rates a solid bet to gain a deserved success in heat three of the Owners Bonus Series (20:50).

Martin Wiley’s daughter of Westmead Hawk has won eight of her 36 starts at the venue and three of them have come in the grade.

She was last successful in A2 company back in August when flashing out to make all and score by 4 1/2 lengths and has since posted a string of solid efforts to make the frame in nine outings at this level.

This is arguably easier than some of the assignment To Tone Tas has faced of late and if trapping in her best style she is going to be a very tough nut to peg back if getting loose early doors.

Karchi can kick rivals into touch

In the S2 over 575m (21:06), T5 Karchi looks to have plenty going for him.

Paul Young’s dog got no luck in-running last time out when slowly away and bumped but had previously shown what he is capable of when producing a slick 13.72 sectional to lead the bend before drawing clear to score by 8 1/2 lengths.

That split stands out like a sore thumb in this line-up, especially as Karchi is drawn between two rivals devoid of early pace.

If timing it right at the lids this looks a golden opportunity for Karchi to make all and register his ninth success at the venue.
