Cuine ready to Rumble at Harlow
Mixed action from Harlow and Towcester takes centre stage on Racing Post Greyhound TV tonight (Sky 468, Freesat 250) and T5 Cuine Rumble rates the best bet at the former in the 415m Standard Open at 20:10.
The son of Ace High Rumble made an impressive debut for trainer Samantha West when showing bags of early pace to make all and score by 2 3/4 lengths over course and distance in a time of 25.99.
Victory never looked in any doubt from the moment the traps opened and to go under 26 seconds in a first competitive outing at the venue suggested he was one to keep onside.
Although only fourth when attempting to follow up seven days ago, Cuine Rumble totally fluffed the start before getting a bump at the first and in the circumstances did well to be beaten just 3 3/4 lengths.
With T4 Talltrees Lady sure to be cutting-in the selection should get a lovely clear run to the first bend and if trapping in his best style Cuine Rumble is capable of turning in front and making all.
Mini makes platy of appeal in Maiden Stayers
In the 592 Maiden Stayers (21:15), T5 Clonbrien Mini looks to hold leading claims of landing a trap-to-line success.
Nina Shine’s bitch is bless with plenty of early pace and ran a blinder on her penultimate start cover course and distance when clocking a 15.01 sectional before being collared late on and beaten 2 3/4 lengths into third behind Swift Slaney.
The winner has gone on to score again since to give the form a boost and this contest is less competitive.
Clonbrien Mini is also by the far the most likely to make the first bend in front in this line-up, and once on the bunny she can open up and establish a healthy lead to repel any late challengers.
Harlow best bets
20:10 T5 Cuine Rumble (NAP)
21:15 T5 Clonbrien Mini (NB)
Chubbys Oak to fell Towcester rivals
Over at Towcester, T6 Chubbys Oak rates a solid bet to take advantage of what looks a dream draw to land the RPGTV Sprint Open (20:50).
Mark Wallis’s charge impressed when making a winning debut at the track last week, showing plenty of early pace and running on strongly to beat Showdown Sally by a length in a very respectable 15.39.
Chubbys Oak is entitled to improve significanty for that sighter and is the only wide runner in the line-up.
With five railers on his inside, and the distinct possibility of trouble, the son of Top Savings looks ideally housed in the stripes to crack out, turn the first bend in front and kick in the turbo to put the race to bed.
Garryglas Champ can land four-timer
Wallis can complete a double on the card with T4 Garryglass Champ in the RPGTV Puppies Open (21:24).
The son of Kinloch Brae comes into the race in terrific form having won his last three starts.
Two of those have come over course and distance and in the last of those seven days ago he produced a lightning 5.12 sectional before running on strongly when challenged late on to score by a neck.
Although now running from the black jacket at the venue for the first time, Garryglas Champ has enough early pace for it not to be an issue.
He is clearly thriving and improving with every run and can maintain that progress by landing the four-timer en route to better things.
Towcester best bets
20:50 T6 Chubbys Oak (NAP)
21:24 T4 Garryglass Champ (NB)
