Odds and preview ahead of three of La Liga’s biggest ties this weekend.

Barcelona’s La Liga woes were given momentary respite with a Champions League win on Wednesday, but nothing but a win against seventh-placed Real Betis will do on Saturday.

Atletico Madrid face a Cadiz side who will be looking to add to their collection of big-team scalps, after their shock 1-0 win away to Real Madrid in October.

Real Madrid finally got their first Champions League win of the season in midweek after a miserable start to their campaign. They’ll be looking for three points against Valencia on Sunday to keep the pressure on league leaders Real Sociedad.

We take a look at the odds and the latest news in our La Liga Betting Preview…

Barcelona v Real Betis

To say Barcelona’s league campaign has gotten off to a slow start is to put it mildly, the Catalan giants find themselves way down in 12th after winning just two of their opening six games.

They’re now four games without a league win, with an El Clásico defeat the only justifiable result of the lot.

Opponents Real Betis have played two games more than Barca, and are yet to draw this season, with four wins and four defeats on the board. Will it be the Jekyll or Hyde Betis who turn up to the Camp Nou – and can they pile further misery onto Messi and co?

Barcelona are 2/5 to win, with 15/4 about the draw with a Real Betis win at 13/2.

Betis aren’t shy of scoring and have conceded more than any other side in the top half of the table – as such, a Barcelona win with both teams to score can be backed at 17/10.

Atletico Madrid v Cadiz

Newly promoted Cadiz shocked the white half of Madrid back in October with a 1-0 win over Real that did not even remotely flatter them – it could and should have been more, as they outplayed their illustrious opponents.

Can they do it again against Atletico? Diego Simeone’s side will be ruing a missed midweek opportunity as they let a 1-0 lead over Lokomotiv Moscow slip, while their steady league form sees them in fourth – with their notoriously stingy defence conceding twice in six games so far.

Atletico are 4/9 to win, with the draw at 29/10 and a Cadiz win at 17/2.

If you’re expecting another Atletico shut-out, they can be backed at 10/11 to win to nil, while a shock Cadiz win with both teams scoring is out at 22/1.

Valencia v Real Madrid

While Barcelona have struggled in the league – most of Real Madrid’s woes this season have come in European competition, bar the shock defeat to Cadiz. While five wins, one draw and a loss isn’t the dominant form we may have come to expect from Los Blancos, it’s enough to see them in second, with a game in hand over leaders Real Sociedad.

Opponents Valencia on the other hand, are without a win in four. They were involved in an absolute thriller against Getafe last weekend, with their opponents taking a 2-1 lead in the 98th minute – before Valencia snatched the draw with a 100th minute equaliser from Carlos Soler. They may need more heroics on Sunday to hold off Real.

Home side Valencia are 11/2 to win on Sunday, with 17/5 about the draw and Real Madrid the 1/2 favourites to take the tie.

Each of Real Madrid’s last five games have involved four or more goals, and you can back a Real win with over 3.5 goals at 9/4, while over 4.5 goals in the game comes in at 16/5.
