Odds and preview ahead of tonight’s matches
We’ve got more action from the PDC Home Tour, where four more throwers step up to the virtual oche in Group 29.
World number 27 Danny Noppert is the highest ranked in the group, with Cristo Reyes and Ryan Meikle alongside, but it’s Scotsman John Henderson who could be the biggest attraction.
Ahead of the night’s matches which get underway at 19:30, our trader Michael McDonald has given his pick and thoughts on the key matches.
In the first big clash of night 29, John ‘The Highlander’ Henderson takes on Cristo ‘The Spartan’ Reyes.
There are only 15 places between the two in the PDC Order of Merit, with Henderson ranked world number 31 and Reyes at 46.
The Highlander heads to the oche as the 8/13 favourite, with The Spartan a 6/5 outsider. Reyes has never beaten Henderson in a ranking event in three attempts, which makes Henderson 5/4 in the Match Handicap market, giving Reyes a 1.5 leg head start.
Dutchman Danny Noppert is the 13/8 favourite to win Group 29 and progress into the last 32 of the competition, but John Henderson poses the biggest threat of the evening.
The former BDO world championship finalist should have too much class for Henderson, and we make him the 4/6 favourite to win this one, although the PDC Home Tour can be a great leveller.
In what should be a tight match, Noppert is 4/1 to win the match 5-4.
In the evening’s curtain call, Reyes takes on Noppert. We’ve got the Dutchman as the odds-on 8/15 favourite before an arrow is thrown, with Reyes out at 6/5.
Noppert enjoyed a stellar 2019, with the highlight being reaching the final of the World Series of Darts, narrowly missing out on that occasion to compatriot Michael van Gerwen.
Reyes has come up against Noppert on three occasions in PDC competitions, with the Spaniard coming out on top in all three fixtures. In our YourCall market, Noppert is 9/4 to win the match and score the most 180s.
