Who could play a key role in Tuesday’s clash?

We could see the Bundesliga title race truly come alive on Tuesday evening, as Borussia Dortmund host Bayern Munich.

A Dortmund win would take them just one point behind the defending champions. But victory for Bayern win would put the visitors in control – they’d have a seven-point cushion at the top of the table with just six games to play.

Both sides have sensational strikers leading the line, in Erling Braut Haaland and Robert Lewandowski respectively. But with so much to play for, we’ve looked at some of the other players from both sides who could make the difference…

Borussia Dortmund

Raphael Guerreiro

Raphael Guerreiro

Dortmund’s move to three defenders gives their wing-backs plenty of licence to venture forward. Guerreiro has taken full advantage since the restart. He’s grabbed three goals in his last two outings – he’s 7/2 to net another.

With Bayern likely to control possession, they’ll need to be Guerreiro’s threat on the counter. The 26-year-old will constantly bomb forward on the left, and the hosts have the quality to create an opening for him.

Jadon Sancho

The England international has been limited to two substitute appearances since the league started again. He’s set to be unleased from the start against Bayern.

There are lots of skilful wingers around, but very few combine their dribbling ability with consistent end product like Sancho.

He’s already contributed to 31 goals in league action this term, and he tends to be at the heart of Dortmund’s best moments. He’s 15/8 to score in this one.

Bayern Munich

Thomas Muller

Thomas Muller has generally been thought of as a pure goalscorer over the years, but he’s shown a more rounded side of his game this year. He’s already set up 17 league goals, more than any other player in the Bundesliga. Our traders have him 11/5 to register another assist here.

Dortmund’s defence has looked more secure since the restart, but there aren’t many players who are better at finding space. Whether he’s creating goals or scoring them himself, the World Cup winner is always a threat.

Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich

With Thiago Alcantara a doubt, the task of setting the tempo of Bayern’s passing is likely to fall on Joshua Kimmich. He’s more than up to it, with 1/2 about Kimmich making 75+ passes.

He may have broken into Bayern’s team as a full-back, but the Germany international has now proven himself as a top-class midfielder. He’ll sit in front of the defence and keep things ticking over, giving Leon Goretzka the freedom to get forward.

However, Jadon Sancho and Julian Brandt will both look to drag Kimmich out of position. How the 25-year-old copes could determine how this game goes.
