Villa suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Sunday but the home faithful at Villa Park have had plenty to cheer this season.
Unai Emery’s men have won seven of their eight games on home soil in all competitions and scored 25 goals, with their only loss here coming against Everton in the Carabao Cup.
A 4-1 victory in the reverse fixture in the Netherlands was Villa’s second win in Group E and a third would leave them on the brink of qualifying but AZ could have their moments given they sit third in the Eredivisie with an unbeaten record.
Four of Villa’s last five home wins have featured goals at both ends so a Villa victory and both teams to score appeals at 2/1.
Ludogorets v Fenerbahce
It was the weekend for unbeaten starts to end and much like Tottenham and Arsenal in the Premier League, Fenerbahce were finally beaten in Turkey on Sunday.
An astonishing run of 19 successive victories to begin the season was halted by a 3-2 loss against Trabzonspor but the trip to Bulgaria looks a good opportunity to return to winning ways.
Ludogorets have lost two of their three games in Group H and conceded 10 goals, including a 3-1 defeat in the reverse fixture, and an away win at 3/4 seems a solid pick.
For punters seeking a bigger price in Europa Conference League betting tips, it is worth noting that Fenerbahce have only conceded one goal in nine away games so a win to nil is an option at 5/2.
