The Carabao Cup continues this week and we have EFL Cup betting tips for Wednesday night’s all-Premier League ties.

Newcastle, who knocked out Manchester City in the third round, will face the Premier League champions’ neighbours United for a place in the quarter-finals.

The last-16 clash at Old Trafford is televised on Sky Sports as is Arsenal’s trip to West Ham, while there are two more top-flight contests also taking place.

West Ham v Arsenal

David Moyes’ side go into the tie on the back of three defeats in eight days in all competitions following their 1-0 reverse at home to Everton on Sunday.

That came on the back of losses at Aston Villa and Olympiacos as West Ham look to get back to winning ways against an Arsenal side that crushed Sheffield United 5-0 on Saturday.

Eddie Nketiah scored his first Premier League hat-trick in the emphatic victory and is expected to enjoy an extended period in attack following Gabriel Jesus’ hamstring injury.

Mikel Arteta usually rotates his line-up in cup competitions, with Emile Smith Rowe starring in the previous round at Brentford and the Spaniard is set to utilise his squad once more.

It remains to be seen if Moyes will follow suit, but it is hard to look past the Gunners to secure their quarter-final spot in the first of our EFL Cup betting tips at 13/10.

Bournemouth v Liverpool

Andoni Iraola finally broke his Premier League winning duck as Bournemouth boss following a 2-1 success against fellow strugglers Burnley on Saturday.

At the 10th time of asking, and with Cherries owner Bill Foley in attendance, the Spaniard collected three points in England’s top flight and will want to carry that momentum into the EFL Cup, where they face in-form Liverpool.

The Reds claimed a routine 3-0 win at home to Nottingham Forest at the weekend to make it three straight wins in all competitions, scoring 10 goals in the process.

Of their 14 matches in the 2023-24 campaign, there have been at least three matches goals in 11 of Liverpool’s fixtures so expect entertainment at the Vitality Stadium, even if Jurgen Klopp rotates his starting line-up.

Liverpool are priced at 11/10 to prevail and over 2.5 match goals as the next of our Carabao Cup predictions.

Everton v Burnley

Sean Dyche faces former side Burnley for the first time since his departure in April 2022 after 10 years at Turf Moor.

Vincent Kompany was tasked with bringing the Clarets back into the Premier League following relegation and he managed to achieve this in his first season at the club.

Emotions will be high for the Merseyside side, who play at Goodison Park for the first time since the death of chairman Bill Kenwright last week.

With that in mind, Dyche coming up against his former club and Everton’s victory at West Ham at the weekend, the Toffees appeal at a price of 21/20 to progress to the last eight.

Manchester United v Newcastle

Erik ten Hag will look to revitalise his Manchester United charges after their chastening derby defeat to City at Old Trafford on Sunday.

They succumbed to a one-sided 3-0 loss as Erling Haaland’s brace and a close-range Phil Foden finish put the Red Devils to the sword.

The tepid performance overshadowed the three-match winning streak they mustered before the derby and face another tough assignment in Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.

The Magpies are unbeaten in their last four away matches in all competitions, albeit three draws in the sequence. They have the quality to hurt United and the added motivation of avenging their final defeat to the same opponents last season.

Newcastle at 12/5 to win in 90 minutes is the of our EFL Cup betting tips for Wednesday.
