Latest Aston Villa manager odds

Ex-Arsenal star Thierry Henry has seen his odds cut to 4/1 for the vacant Aston Villa manager’s job following strong support in the market this morning.

The Frenchman was linked with the role in the summer, but speculation has intensified following the departure of Steve Bruce from Villa Park on Wednesday. Henry is known to want to move into management and was also linked with the then-vacant Bordeaux job in the summer.

He’s the joint second-favourite to take over at Villa behind 2/1 favourite Dean Smith and fellow 4/1 shot Paulo Fonseca. Ex-Sparta Prague boss Andrea Stramaccioni is 5/1 for the role, with former Villa player and Chelsea legend John Terry at 7/1.

“It’s not the first time Thierry Henry has been linked with the Aston Villa job and following Steve Bruce’s exit from the club, the Frenchman is being backed again to fill the vacant role,” said Coral’s John Hill.
