Our trader Andrew Harriott casts his expert eye overtonight’s matches
We’re onto day 12 of the PDC Home Tour and it’s time forMax Hopp, Mike de Decker, Keegan Brown and Conan Whitehead to step up to theoche.
Max ‘Maximiser’ Hopp is the world number 24, the highest ranked of tonight’s four throwers, and he’s the current favourite to be the group winner on night 12 at 13/8.
We’ve got six more matches tonight in a round-robin format, with the first arrow to be thrown at 19:30.
The evening kicks off with the highest-ranked player of thenight, against the lowest-ranked player in an all-European affair.
German Max Hopp has reached the last 32 of the PDC WorldChampionships on four occasions and is ranked 78 places higher than his Belgiancounterpart.
The gulf in rankings is reflected in the Maximiser’s price to win the first match, as he’s the odds-on 8/15 favourite. However, Mike de Decker boasts a winning record against the German, and underdog backers will be hoping to see more doubles for de Decker.
Current world number 30 Keegan Brown reached the last 16 of the PDC World Championships in 2018, and ‘The Needle’ is the odds-on 4/7 favourite to beat the world number 75 in this matchup.
We don’t expect Conan ‘The Barbarian’ Whitehead to go downwithout a fight and the bricklayer from Gillingham has beaten Brown in previousmatches.
If you fancy Conan to crash all enemies, you can find 9/2 in the night 12 outright winner market.
In what looks to be the highest quality encounter of thenight before an arrow is thrown, ‘The Maximiser’ takes on ‘The Needle’ at21:00.
Only six places separate the pair in the world rankings, but it’s the higher-ranked German Hopp who shades it in the betting as the 8/11 favourite.
Hopp and Brown have met on six previous occasions, withhonours even so far at three wins apiece.
All odds and markets are correct as of date ofpublication.
