Our best from week six in Glasgow
One of the standout weeks from the Premier League Darts calendar goes on Thursday, as the season rolls into Glasgow. Fans love the venue, players love the atmosphere, and Coral punters will love the betting.

Taylor beat Lewis
We’ve had five weeks to size these players up, and we know this will be Taylor’s last Premier League, and he genuinely cares about going out in style, and we’ve also learned that, sometimes, Lewis looks like he just can’t be bothered with the hassle of it all. There’s no doubting Jackpot’s quality, but he’s a difficult man for punters to nail down, and opposing him is the best option at 10/11. Lewis was hammered 7-2 by Wright in Exeter.
Wright beat Wade
Peter Wright – man of the moment in the Premier League. If you are looking to invest your cash on a form player, look no further than the likeable Scotsman, who followed that impressive win over Lewis in the Premier League last week, by lifting the Coral Open on Sunday. He will get the backing of a vocal support up north, while Wade won’t enjoy the same warm welcome, to put it mildly. Wright is bet of the night for me at 8/13.
Van Gerwen beat Huybrechts
Mighty has chosen Glasgow as his return from a back injury, and the biggest name in darts at the minute certainly wouldn’t have been rushed. He’ll be back throwing because he’s ready to be back throwing, and should make mincemeat of Huybrechts, who is second bottom of the pile, and the only player in the league without a win. 1/6 is what MVG deserves to be.
Barneveld beat Klaasen
Barney is another real favourite with the Scottish crowds, and they will push him to his limits against Klaasen. Barneveld really should be winning a game of this nature if he wants to do anything with his season. Klaasen is bottom of the league, having lost three of his first five. Come on Barney, stop messing about and do us a turn at 5/6.
Anderson beat Chisnall
The biggest cheer of the night will be for the darling of Scottish darts, former world champion and Premier League winner Gary Anderson. He has been handed a very winnable match against Chizzy too, and will want to delight the fans who have packed out the Hydro in his honour. He has been inconsistent so far, but has a big win in him at 4/7, and this is the very night to deliver it.
