Football and racing acca picks are the order of the day…

It’s a reasonably quiet Friday of football as the season draws to a close and the build-up to the World Cup begins.

But there’s still some play-off action from the UK and Europe, plus some cracking flat racing from York and Newbury.

The Coral News Team put together a selection of acca tips from the day’s sport…

Notts County to beat Coventry – 7/4

County host Coventry City in the second-leg of the League Two play-off semi-final tonight. The score is deadlocked at 1-1 after the Sky Blues bagged a late equaliser at the Ricoh Arena.

The Magpies have lost just twice in their last eight against Coventry and will be confident of making home advantage count.

Kevin Nolan’s side have been sat in the play-off positions for most of the season and should take advantage of their greater quality.

Parma to beat Spezia – 1/2

Parma could be on the verge of a glorious return to Serie A. The former Italian giants are currently third, just two points behind the automatic promotion places with a game to go.

Spezia stand in their way, but thankfully they’re in mid-table with nothing to play for. Roberto D’Aversa’s Gialloblu must win and hope that Frosinone slip up at home to dangerous Foggia.

Stradivarius to win 3.30 York – 5/6

John Gosden’s star is back after a triumphant second season on the flat. The four-year-old goes at York in a 1m 6f contest.

He’ll be dropping back in class compared to what he was used to last season. So the son of Sea The Stars should have little trouble in putting his opponents to the sword.

Snazzy to win 2.20 York – 11/1 (each-way)

There’s a very interesting prospect running in the Marygate Fillies’ Stakes over five furlongs at York.

Charlie Fellowes’ charge Snazzy ran mightily impressive last time out at Newcastle. It was her first outing on the all-weather track up in the North-East but she looked very comfortable.

Despite her greenness, she could well have the class to at least hit the bar here.
