A mix of British and European punts

The World Cup Qualifiers are over and domestic action returns with aplomb this evening.

There’s some cracking fixtures in England and Scotland, plus plenty of entertaining fixtures on the continent.

The Coral News Team have chosen five W-D-W selections from tonight’s schedule.

If successful, a £5 wager could return £275.20. All prices and returns correct at time of writing.

Bristol City to beat Burton

After a couple of years treading water, Bristol City look excellent this season.

The Robins can go second with a win tonight at home to Burton.

City are unbeaten at Ashton Gate, while Albion have been woeful on the road, failing to win while scoring just once. A home win looks assured at 4/11.

St Johnstone v Rangers – Draw

Third hosts fourth in the Scottish Premiership, in what should be an evenly-matched clash.

St Johnstone have been excellent at home this season with 10 points from four games. Plus they took a deserved draw away at Celtic.

Rangers’ have been more effective on the road under Pedro Caixinha, so this should even itself out with a draw a healthy acca- booster at 3/1.

Espanyol to beat Levante

Over in Spain, Espanyol and Levante kick-off La Liga’s weekend schedule.

Quique Sanchez Flores’ side should have the edge here. Espanyol have lost only one of their last four, while they’ve won their last two at the Estadi Cornella-El Prat stadium.

Levante claimed a point at Real Madrid earlier this season, but they’re notoriously poor travellers. Having won just seven of their last 55 away games, a home win looks good for Espanyol at 4/5.

Stuttgart to beat Koln

It’s only mid-October but Koln already look doomed. They’re winless and have scored just once on their travels.

That’s great news for Stuttgart though, who can claim a third win of the season.

VFB have been excellent at home, collecting two wins and draw. They haven’t even conceded at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, which makes them an excellent shout at 19/20.

Monaco to beat Lyon

Reigning Ligue 1 champion Monaco round out tonight’s acca, as they head to Lyon.

On paper, Monaco’s form isn’t great with two wins in six, but they can take advantage of a suspect Lyon defence.

The hosts have conceded seven goals in their last three games, while they’re winless in five across domestic and European competition. Leonardo Jardim’s men are 15/8 to complete the Coral five-fold.
