Aston Villa v Bolton: Villa -1
Everything points to a comfortable Villans win as they host bottom club Bolton Wanderers.
Steve Bruce’s men have conceded just once in five league games, winning each of the last three. That included routs of Barnsley (3-0) and Burton Albion (4-1), as well as victory over Nottingham Forest.
Currently bottom of the Championship, Bolton have lost seven successive games in all competitions. Even worse, they haven’t scored a single goal in that time, shipping 18 goals in the process. Expect a one-sided affair, with Aston Villa -1 offering value at 11/10.
Chelsea v Man City: Over 2.5 Goals
One thing you’re virtually guaranteed in this fixture is goals. The last five meetings between these Premier League heavyweights have produced three or more goals.
Both sides are in fine goalscoring fettle at present. The Blues have found the net fifteen times in five games, while Pep Guardiola’s men have fared even better, with 19 in the same period. Coral make it 3/4 there are Over 2.5 Goals at Stamford Bridge.
Bradford to beat Doncaster
Bradford City are priced out at 11/8 for a home win over Donny, despite the Bantams having picked up more than twice as many points as their Yorkshire rivals this term.
Stuart McCall’s men have beaten Northampton Town and Rotherham United to nil in recent weeks, as well as producing a 3-1 defeat of Peterborough United at ABAX Stadium earlier this month.
Rovers are finding life after promotion tougher than expected. Four points from their past seven league games have left the Keepmoat Stadium club just a point above the drop zone. The stats suggest Bradford will deepen their woes on Saturday.
Watford to beat West Brom
The Hornets have been very impressive on the road under Marco Silva. They’ve won all three away games to date, breezing past Bournemouth and Southampton (2-0 apiece) before a late Richarlison effort bagged the points at the Liberty Stadium last Saturday.
As for the Baggies, last season’s impressive feats have vanished into thin air. Winless in five games, they’ve been underwhelming in attack and susceptible to a late collapse – conceding three times beyond the 75th minute. A Watford win could prove a huge acca-booster at 5/2.
Coventry to beat Crewe
These are worrying times to be a Crewe Alexandra fan. The Railwaymen have lost four games on the trot, including an embarrassing 5-0 home mauling by Carlisle United last weekend. Things are unlikely to improve for them at the Ricoh Arena.
Rock-solid Coventry City have League Two’s best defensive record, giving up just two goals in their previous six outings. With the likes of Jodi Jones and Duckens Nazon in good form at the other end, Coventry to Win looks likely at 8/13.
