Chris Hughes visits Oaksey House

The incredible challenge facing TV star turned jockey continues for Chris Hughes with his visit to jockey rehabilitation centre, Oaksey House in Newmarket.

Watch our video as Chris is really put through his paces and discovers the intense challenge facing him as he steps up to the quest of becoming race fit.

The Love Island star made full use of the facilities including the hydrotherapy pool, the AlterG anti-gravity and a specially adapted gym.

Chris met with Ed Stroud, the Injured Jockey Fund’s Head of Rehab, who gave Chris some coaching advice, along with an intense training session and advice on implementing a training regime.

He left Oaksey House with a full training schedule and nutritional advice which will help him on his #LoveRacing journey.

Coral PR Director Simon Clare says: “Oaksey House is the best facility of its kind in the country so it was great to get Chris here. The physical and mental challenges ahead will be tough so getting Chris working alongside other jockeys who are trying to regain their fitness was great.”
