With less than four weeks to go until Chris Hughes races at York, he visited Liverpool John Moores University to meet with renowned exercise physiologist Dr George Wilson.

Chris was put through a battery of fitness and nutritional tests by Dr Wilson to help him in his challenge and left with a diet and exercise regime that leaves him in good stead for his race on the 16th June.

The Love island star was tested on a DEXA scanner, one of the best ways to test body fat, and then underwent a gruelling treadmill workout which pushed him to the max and tested his oxygen levels.

Chris says: “Sports science. I’ve never really been a fan of it before until today. George has given me a plan of action – my first ever plan, and this will hopefully help me make the weight for the race on 16th June.”

As part of his new fitness regime Chris will have to eat meals up to six times a day and has to run first thing in the morning to help him make racing weight.
