As the Capital One Cup returns to our screens this week, Coral have an ample array of midweek specials to mark the occasion.

As a result, we feature Manchester City, Manchester United, Southampton and Liverpool at a thrilling 3/1 all to win their respective home games against, on paper, weaker opposition in 90 minutes.

Manchester City v Crystal Palace

Their last home game against Premier League opposition was a 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth, with Raheem Sterling hitting a hat-trick, while Wilfried Bony bagged a brace. The duo are both 4/1 to break the deadlock, while the irrepressible Kevin De Bruyne is 7/1 to score two or more.

Manchester United v Middlesbrough

United have the beating of the Championship side, with the likes of Anthony Martial, Memphis Depay and Wayne Rooney all capable of finding the net and Louis van Gaal will have targeted this competition as one that his side can win.

Southampton v Aston Villa

Graziano Pelle bagged a brace on that occasion and the Italian is 7/2 to break the deadlock this time at St Mary’s or 4/1 to score two or more.

Meanwhile, new centre back signing Virgil van Dijk has proved an imposing aerial presence since he joined, also scoring twice, so odds of 6/1 in the anytime market, represent good value against a susceptible Villa backline.

Liverpool v Bournemouth

Bournemouth slumped to a 5-1 win at home to Spurs last time out and are severely weakened by injuries to key players, so the this should be academic for Liverpool.
