Odds and preview ahead of Bundesliga weekend
The Bundesliga rolls back into action as the Ruckrunde continues into matchday 22.
Bayern Munich have the chance to put the pressure on Borussia Dortmund with a win over Augsburg on Friday.
Frankfurt will hope to grab three points against third-placed Borussia Monchengladbach.
But it’s Dortmund’s game against Nurnberg on Monday night which heads up our weekend preview…
Nurnberg v Borussia Dortmund (Mon 7:30pm BT Sport 2)
Dortmund may be pleased to come up against a side that has only won two Bundesliga games this season.
That’s after a dismal ten days where they crashed out of the DFB Pokal, relinquished a three-goal lead to Hoffenheim and got thrashed 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.
Marco Reus will likely miss out again for the visitors, with Jadon Sancho at 6/4 anytime to get on the scoresheet.
A BVB win at 2/5 is vital for their title ambitions. It’s 15/8 for the away side to win and Over 3.5 goals in the game.
But rock-bottom Nurnberg will hope they can compound Dortmund’s misery with a victory at 6/1.
FC Augsburg v Bayern Munich (Fri 7:30pm BT Sport ESPN)
Long before Dortmund take the road south to Nurnberg, Bayern Munich rock up to Augsburg looking to close the gap at the top to two points.
The current league champions are 1/4 to nick the three points. Leon Goretzka and Serge Gnabry are bang amongst the goals with the pair at 6/4 and 6/5 to notch anytime respectively.
Augsburg are 11/1 to grab back-to-back home wins for the first time this season. Michael Gregoritsch is 12/1 to score the opener.
His team-mate Andre Hahn is 4/1 to bag anytime.
Best of the rest
Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen meet in the capital on Saturday evening. Only a point separates these two in eighth and tenth position in the table.
It’s 16/5 for both teams to score and the game to end in a draw. Ondrej Duda to hit the onion bag for Hertha is 2/1 anytime.
Davie Selke is 13/2 to strike first. Young American Josh Sargent has been picking up minutes for Bremen and is 23/10 to bag here.
Elsewhere, ‘Gladbach’s trip to Frankfurt on Sunday could well be the game of the weekend. The home side are 13/10 for victory, with the visitors 19/10 to continue their impressive run.
Thorgan Hazard is fast becoming Gladbach’s main man and is 7/2 to score in an away win.
