Bundesliga Preview: Bayern to bury Dortmund’s title hopes?

Odds and preview of Bundesliga matchday 32

We’re coming into the home straight in Germany’s top flight. It’s little surprise that Bayern Munich are top with just three games to go, but they still have to finish the job strong.

Hannover prop up the table and could go down with a loss to the Bavarians, whilst Stuttgart are trying to escape the relegation playoff in 16th.

Borussia Dortmund are hoping to shake off defeat to Schalke with a victory over Werder Bremen on Saturday.

But it’s at the Allianz Arena where we begin our preview as the defending champions look to hammer home their superiority again.

Bayern Munich v Hannover 96 (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Bayern did it the hard way this season, but with just a trio of games remaining they are almost over the line.

The Bavarians play bottom-side Hannover 96 on Saturday who have only one victory in their last eleven games in all competitions.

We have the home side as heavy 1/25 favourites to secure the three points and Bayern to win with Over 3.5 Goals in the match is trading at 4/9.

However, Niko Kovac’s men were let off with a point last time out after struggling Nurnberg missed a 90th-minute penalty to win the game.

It highlights yet again that the champions-elect haven’t been their irrepressible best this campaign.

You can get Hannover on the Double Chance at 9/1 and both teams to score at 11/8.

In the goalscorer market, Serge Gnabry is at 7/2 to open the scoring with his eleventh goal of the season.

Die Roten’s top marksman Hendrik Weydandt is at 5/1 to score anytime.

Werder Bremen v Borussia Dortmund (Saturday, 5.30pm BT Sport Extra 4)

Lucien Favre has admitted BVB have blown their title chance. But the mathematics suggest they shouldn’t down tools just yet.

Die Borussen are currently two points behind the leaders, but with Bayern losing the most games (4)  since the 2014/15 season (5) – another Der FCB loss could open the door for Favre’s men again.

Despite being without the suspended Marco Reus and Marius Wolf we go with a Dortmund win at 5/4.

Both teams to score in an away win is 5/2, but Bremen have only lost to BVB once in the last four meetings. The home side are 2/1 to win and 4/6 on the Double Chance.

Best of the rest

If Hoffenheim’s awful away record to ‘Gladbach (D3 L3) continues then it could all but kill off their Champions League charge.

We trade at 17/10 for a Gladbach win that would put Die Fohlen in with a real shout of the top four.

Sunday’s action is punctuated by a tasty encounter between Bayer Leverkusen and possible Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.

The away sides European commitments could play a part here, and they should be without 14-goal man Sebastian Haller too. A Leverkusen win with Over 2.5 Goals is 5/4.
