Odds and preview of the Bundesliga weekend

The Bundesliga is well and truly at the business end of the season now.

Last weekend’s match between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund was more ‘Das Ungluck’ – the disaster, than ‘Der Klassiker’ for BVB.

But now they are back to being the chaser which could suit them. They face Mainz this weekend, while the other stand-out ties are Wolfsburg’s trip to RB Leipzig and Bayern’s away day at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Off the pitch, Borussia Monchengladbach announced RB Salzburg’s Marco Rose as their new manager for next season – which looks a real statement of intent.

Back to the present, and we have all the tips and odds to sink your teeth into, starting at Signal Iduna Park as Dortmund host Mainz…

Borussia Dortmund v Mainz (Saturday 5.30pm BT Sport 3)

The BlackYellow suffered a humbling 5-0 defeat to big rivals Bayern on Saturday, which has dented their title charge.

But with the gap only a single point, a win at 2/7 would see them return to the top and put pressure on the Bavarians.

Raphael Guerreiro’s industry was missed last time out and his fitness could be key here. If available, the versatile winger could line-up alongside Marco Reus and Jadon Sancho in the attack.

A repeat of the 2-1 victory for Der BVB earlier in the season is 15/2. Reus to score in a home win is 21/20.

Paco Alcacer could also be involved after injury, he’s become a bit of a super-sub and is 3/1 to bag last here.

Mainz did emphatically shake-off a four-match losing streak with a 5-0 win over Freiburg last weekend.

Both teams to score is 4/5, with Mainz on the Double Chance at 5/2. Dortmund must win and win big though, we go 31/20 for a home victory with Over 3.5 Goals.

RB Leipzig v Wolfsburg (Saturday 2.30pm)

Leipzig have the most prolific front-pairing in the league with Timo Werner and Yussuf Poulsen.

The pair have 28 goals and 8 assists between them as the East German club look to secure Champions League football again.

Our traders have Die Roten Bullen at 8/15 to grab three points and at 1/9 to maintain their unbeaten home record since February.

Werner is 3/1 to strike first, with Poulsen at 23/20 anytime. Wolfsburg have scored eight goals in their last three games though, we have Over 4.5 Goals in the game at 15/4.

Summer signings Wout Weghorst and Daniel Ginzcek have given the Wolves extra bite this season. You can get Weghorst at 12/5 to notch anytime and his team-mate is 14/5 to find the net.

Best of the rest

Bayern’s trip to Fortuna on Sunday looks a foregone conclusion at 2/9 for an away win, but that wasn’t the case at the Allianz Arena earlier in the season.

Fortuna’s Dodi Lukebakio is a massive 300/1 for a repeat of the hat-trick he scored in the 3-3 draw.

Another stalemate is 6/1, with a shock home win at 12s. But Bayern are on the home straight now and are 5/4 to win to nil.

Hoffenheim’s match against Hertha Berlin looks like an early contender for game of the weekend. We go 17/20 for Over 3.5 Goals in the game.
