Europe 5/4 to win Day One of Ryder Cup tomorrow
Will it be Euro glory at Le Golf National?
It’s less than 24 hours till tee-off in the 2018 Ryder Cup, and the latest odds from Coral suggest Europe have a decent chance of finishing day one in the lead.
It’s 5/4 for Europe to dominate on Friday, with the USA marginally shorter at odds of 11/10. Meanwhile, level-pegging after the first day is a 5/1 shot.
European hopes rest largely on Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy, with the pair priced at 5/1 joint-favouritism to be their team’s top points scorer.
For the USA, it’s another pair of 5/1 shots who lead the betting, in Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Europe are being backed to get off to a fast start at Le Golf National by winning the opening day, while we continue to see strong support for the hosts to win back the trophy.”
Hill added: “Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy are the two names punters are backing to be the leading European points scorer, while Tiger Woods has been the best backed American to gain the most points for his side.”
Ahead of play, the USA are 4/5 for glory, with Europe 5/4 and 12/1 for the Draw.
