Odds and tips ahead of the weekend’s Bundesliga action

The Bundesliga threw up some interesting results in matchday one, most notably Wolfsburg’s injury-time winner against Schalke.

However as we thrust ourselves back into the action, even this early on there’s some storylines bubbling under the surface.

Stuttgart host Bayern Munich on Saturday evening, so the Coral News Team take a look at where the game could be won and lost…

Stuttgart v Bayern Munich (5:30pm, Saturday)

Like much of the discussion in today’s game, the main talking point around this one is off the pitch.

Stuttgart defender Benjamin Pavard’s future has come under intense scrutiny following his impressive showing at the World Cup.

Bayern have been heavily linked with the player, but a move doesn’t look likely until next summer now.

Stuttgart were also the team that ended the Bavarian’s 37-game unbeaten home record on the final day of last season.

They’re 10/1 to win again and pick up their first three points of the season.

Despite lifting the Bundesliga trophy after the game, this result would have irked the champions.

Bayern are 2/7 to win the game and 13/4 to extract some revenge and win with Over 4.5 goals in the game.

The draw’s at 17/4.

The Wolves hunting more scalps

Wolfsburg were perhaps the biggest story of the first weekend after Daniel Ginczek netted a last-gasp winner for his new side.

Defeating last season’s second-placed side Schalke is a great start to avoiding yet another relegation scrap.

Bruno Labbadia’s men are 4/1 to make it two wins from two games.

They face Bayer Leverkusen though, who are looking to bounce back after losing 2-0 to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Leverkusen triumphed 2-1 in their last encounter. Die Werkself are 6/10 to claim victory again.

However, the pair played out a 2-2 and a 3-3 draw in the two previous fixtures.

The draw and over 2.5 goals is 19/4.

Hoffenheim hope for first win

Julian Nagelsmann’s men came close to securing an impressive draw with Bayern Munich last weekend.

After making changes early in the second half, Hoffenheim thwarted their opponents for much of the second half.

They ultimately lost though and face Freiburg on Saturday, both clubs looking for their first win of the season.

Freiburg picked up four points against Hoffenheim last season but are 17/4 to secure an away victory.

The draw is at 3/1 with a Die Kraichgauer at 4/7.

Adam Szalai to net his second goal of the season and Hoffenheim to win is 23/10.

Best of the rest

Hannover host Borussia Dortmund in the weekend’s opener on Friday night.

Dortmund scored four goals in their win over RB Leipzig last Sunday.

BVB to win and Over 4.5 goals in the game is 17/4.

Hannover beat Dortmund at home last season are 17/4 to grab the victory.

Paco Alcacer could make his debut for Lucien Favre’s team and is 6/4 to net Anytime.
