Who’s ready for a German exchange?

The summer’s transfer window comes to a close in the Premier League next week. But the steady stream of moves between the Bundesliga and the English top flight hasn’t slowed down.

Jannik Vestergaard has already left the Bundesliga for Southampton, whilst Mainz man Yoshinori Muto is all but a Newcastle United player.

This trend doesn’t appear to be subsiding with many young English attracted to German football, too

In this case the Coral News Team look at five Bundesliga-based players who could be ready for a move to the Premier League…

Emil Forsberg – RB Leipzig

Leipzig have had a storming rise to the upper echelons of German football. They’ve faced a backlash for their route to success but one of their key men in all of this has been Emil Forsberg.

The 26-year-old Swedish international is the club’s main man after the departure of Naby Keita to Liverpool.

He was statistically the best playmaker in Europe during the 2016/17 season. He notched 22 assists in 30 Bundesliga games.

Whenever Leipzig decide to sell they will surely make a hefty profit after signing the Swede for only £3 million in 2015.

Kevin Volland – Bayer Leverkusen

Volland has flirted with a move to the Premier League in the past. His form for former club Hoffenheim saw the Premier League’s top six take notice.

But last season he really stepped out of the departed Chicharito’s shadow and almost fired Leverkusen into the Champions League.

Despite missing out on mixing it with Europe’s elite, Leverkusen have a vibrant team which also includes Leon Bailey and Julian Brandt.

Nonetheless, after banging in 14 goals in the Bundesliga last season Volland may feel he’s ready for pastures new.

Julian Pollersbeck – Hamburg

He may have just got relegated with Hamburg but Pollersbeck was bought for the future.

An under-21 European Championship winner with Germany, the young goalkeeper is already primed for a massive career.

He’s played ten times for Die Rothosen but would be one of the stand-out names if he was to stay on.

Premier League clubs would be ahead of the game if they did snap up the exciting goalkeeper. But more likely we could see a January or Summer 2019 move for the young stopper.

Max Meyer – Free Agent

Max Meyer is another one that seems to have been on the lips of every top club in Europe for years.

He was the great hope at Schalke when he broke through in 2012 and was often spoke in higher regard than current Manchester City winger Leroy Sane.

Despite being remodelled as a number six under Domenico Tedesco he is now looking for a new club after leaving Gelsenkirchen.

Meyer will want to prove he can become the player he was always meant to be. And with reports that Crystal Palace are in talks with the German it might not be too long before we see it.

Josuha Guilavogui – Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg have been in a perilous position for a few seasons now. Scraping clear of relegation in the last two campaigns, they have kept the core of their squad.

Josuha Guilavogui is now a seasoned Bundesliga professional. But after playing in three of Europe’s top leagues he’s shown he can adapt to different cultures.

There are strong reports that Fulham are looking to acquire his services.

They will get a strong holding midfielder who can work just as effectively as a number eight.
